Del 16 al 20 de julio, miembros del proyecto participaron en la 41 edición de la International Standing Conference of History of Edication, celebrada en esta ocasión en Oporto. En este espacio se presentó un panel multilingual (comunicaciones en inglés y español) coordinado por la profesora Gabriela Ossenbach (UNED) bajo el título “The Impact of Economic Development on curricular changes in the later years of the Franco Dictatorship and the Democratic Transition in Spain. Their representation in school textbooks”.

El simposio estuvo compuesto por las siguientes comunicaciones:

  • Yovana HERNÁNDEZ LAINA (UNED): Tourism imagery as an instrument of political socialization in textbooks of the late Franco Dictatorship and the Spanish Transition to Democracy.
  • Manuel FERRAZ LORENZO (ULL): The emergence of «Environmental education» as a curricular subject in Spain. Economic, normative and textual references from the period of the democratic transition.
  • Virginia GUICHOT REINA (US): School textbooks: spaces for the construction of a female economic identity. An overview of their study in the Spanish democracy (1975-2018).
  • Kira MAHAMUD ANGULO y Cecilia MILITO BARONE (UNED): Mental Mapping of Urban Places and Spaces in Spanish Primary Education. How Textbooks from the late Franco Dictatorship and the Transition to Democracy (1970-1982) portray the Impact of Economic Development in Cities during the 1960s.
  • Mariano GONZÁLEZ DELGADO y Cristian MACHADO TRUJILLO (ULL):  The economic conception of the State in Social Science textbooks during the Democratic Transition in Spain: notes for research on the subject.
